Ikaria beaches:
MESSAKTI BEACH
In Gialiskari village there’s the longest beach of the island, Messakti. Ideal for families with little children cause of the low depth. That beach is full equipment with WC, showers, change-rooms, umbrellas and deck-chairs to let and a lifeguard. There are several canteens where you can enjoy your coffee, refreshment or ice-cream, while you’re watching the blue Ikarian sea. There are several options for the active ones too: you can rent small boats (canoes and sea bikes) which you can use to explore the shore by yourselves. LIVADI BEACH
Next to Messakti there is Livadi beach, one of the longest beaches of the island. From Livadi you can watch Armenistis village, the most known touristic resort Ikaria. Livadi beach is a beautiful beach with golden sand, clear blue waters and a diversity of forms on the shore, which makes it ideal for diving explorations. AMMOUDAKI (LITTLE SHORE)
Next to Livadi beach and closer to Armenistis village is located Ammoudaki beach. It’s a really short short beach which keeps safe during the opening of a tunnel above the beach. It is covered with white little rocks, it is full of underwater caves, it has a great clearness of the bottom, and the water is so clean that it should be a pity to notice you’ve forgotten to bring your mask with you! It is like you are in paradise! Fortunately, in a short period of time the road from Karkinagri village to Maganitis village, where Seiheles beach those who do not stand leaving the sea not even when it’s really rough. NAS BEACH
You definitely have to visit Nas, a fantastic sea site with a view to the breath-taking gorge of Chalari. At the beautiful bay there are the ruins of the ancient temple of Tavropolos Artemida and the dock of the ancient harbour. Nas is situated to the west side of Armenistis village, 3,5 kilometers far. After your tour you can swim to the picturesque beach of Nas and let yourselves enjoy your dinner in one of the fine restaurants (tavernas) of the village and admire one of the most incredible sunsets you have seen in your entire life! SEIHELES BEACH
That really fantastic beach is competing in beauty with the most famous beaches of the world, that’s why it has their names! Mother nature co-worked with human factor and created something unique. That is because Seiheles beach formed the way it is, after a landside which happenedis will be ready to use. Until then you can reach the region by car taking the road leading to Agios Kirikos and then to Magganitis either you can take a boat from Karkinagri and sail to Maganitis!
